Windy Exmouth

We were very lucky with our time at Karijini. It was amazing and we will all remember it for a long time. The day after we left, rain and wind came and we had to drive through lots of water over the road as we headed west again for the coast at Ningaloo with whale sharks at the top of our list.
The weather had other ideas though! We had a nice day when we arrived but then the wind set in and did not stop. It was lifting our tent pegs out of the ground and after 2 days, we had to pack up camp and head for the shelter of Exmouth. The Goldbricks had been lucky and had an amazing day with the whale sharks but we and the Foster/Stevens have to sit tight til Tuesday when hopefully the wind and rain will be past.
Hope the next post will have lots of whale shark action!

  1. Well, well Freya what an experiences you have there on the WA Coast.

It must have been extremely windy for your solid tent to stay on the ground. Hard to believe how rough it must have been but good to hear that you found shelter again in Exmouth and hopefully you have another opportunity to meet up with whale sharks.
